Art for a Cause – Glass Pumpkin Fundraiser
Mercer Island Youth & Family Services (MIYFS) Foundation is excited to showcase local glass artists pumpkins for sale at this year’s Pumpkin Patch.
Special thanks to glass artists Joni Johnson and Roberta Wyde for donating 50% of proceeds. Glass pumpkins range in size, color and price.
Proceeds support MIYFS, the City of Mercer Island’s human services department that touches every member of our community by providing emergency assistance, extending lifelong wellness and fostering strength & resilience for all Islanders.
Lakeridge Garden Club is a unique opportunity for children to get their hands dirty tending to the soil, planting vegetables, caring for and weeding them and eventually harvesting them to cook and eat!
As a regular donor to the MIYFS Food Pantry, the Garden Club asks everyone to bring non-perishable food items for donation all month to Lakeridge Elementary, and on October 20!
These are basic items needed to restock the pantry shelves: oatmeal & boxed cereal, pasta sauces, chicken & beef broth, hearty canned soups, canned fruit, jellies & jams, Breakfast items, granola bards, toiletries
