Dr. Suniya Luthar, research expert on studying children growing up in affluent communities, returns to Mercer Island to report on the results of a 2019 survey of Mercer Island High School students.
This presentation will focus on how salient aspects of school climate and parent-child relationships can best be modified to maximize the well-being of youth and the adults who care for them.
Dr. Luthar’s 2005 research on Mercer Island teens proved instrumental in Mercer Island Youth & Family Services and Mercer Island School District prevention work and served as the basis of many MIYFS community efforts.
If you cannot attend this exclusive briefing, Dr. Suniya Luthar will be speaking to the public on Tuesday, April 16; 6pm at the Mercer Island High School Performing Arts Center (PAC) located at 9100 S.E. 42nd St. No RSVP required for the April 16 event.
